Better Schools Better Community held the 2nd Annual Bulldog Madness event March 23, 2016 at the Rossford High School Field house. This community-wide Family Fun Night was free to community members. Families enjoyed games, face painting, photo booth and were entertained with a Balloon Artist and DJ. All stations were staffed by student volunteers from the High School representing academics, arts, music and athletics.
This year we decided to partner with Bowling Green State University, Dance Marathon. This amazing partnership was an excellent opportunity to work with Rossford Alumni and benefit Mercy Children’s Hospital as well. We did “mini” fundraisers leading up to our event, including a Concession Sale at Winter Homecoming, Jr.High Dance and Penny Wars for elementary students. At the night of the event, we did a combination of 50/50 raffles, concession sales and basket raffles. All proceeds were donated to Dance Marathon, so these funds stayed local and help local families.
Better Schools for Better Community is committed to OUR KIDS. This journey illustrates that even after graduation, “our kids” are giving back. This journey was a win-win. Rossford families again represented kindness, generosity and support for a worthy cause all the while having fun as a community. Better Schools for Better Community, with the support of Rossford Residents, raised $1,363.05 and presented this at Dance Marathon on April 3, 2016.
